Get your Women In Games Award nominations in by July 12!

With recollections of last week’s awards being boxed up in preparation for more permanent storage in the brain’s long-term memory, thoughts turn to the next event in the MCV/DEVELOP calendar: the Women In Games Awards 2024.

Taking place on Thursday September 26 at America Square Conference Centre in London, the Women In Games Awards will once again celebrate the many achievements of women working in and alongside the UK games industry.

2024 marks the tenth year since the awards started, so we’re expecting the ceremony this year to be a little bit special.

It all starts with the nominations, of course. So far we’ve had a good few – thank you – but we need more. To give you a bit of extra time (what with the man-football, an election, and Develop Brighton to think about) we’ve decided to extend the deadline for nominations to July 12. That’s just over two weeks from today.

All you need to do is head over to the Women In Games Award website and follow the instructions on how to nominate. The page to submit your nominations is right here. Please do keep ’em coming!

About Richie Shoemaker

Prior to taking the editorial helm of MCV/DEVELOP Richie spent 20 years shovelling word-coal into the engines of numerous gaming magazines and websites, many of which are now lost beneath the churning waves of progress. If not already obvious, he is partial to the odd nautical metaphor.
