The MCV/DEVELOP Women in Games Awards will return in September, and nominations are now open

We’re pleased to announce that our annual Women in Games Awards are going to happen again this Autumn, and that you can also now nominate yourself, your friends, your co-workers, and those that you admire.

There are 12 categories to choose from this year, so please take the time to read up on them, and then select the ones most relevant for your nominees. You’ll need to provide us with a nominee’s name, the company they work for, a contact email, and a supporting statement of no more than 750 words that showcases their achievements.

When nominating, please make sure you let your nominee know beforehand, and confirm that the person in question identifies as a woman before you make your submission.

The window for nominations will close on July 14, 2025, at which point a shortlist will be decided upon.

An esteemed panel of judges will then decide the winners, who will go on to receive their awards at a ticketed ceremony held at the America Square Conference Centre in London on September 25, 2025 hosted by Dr. Marie-Claire Isaaman, CEO of the Women in Games not-for-profit organisation, and regular contributor to MCV/DEVELOP.

“Women in Games is delighted to support the MCV/DEVELOP Women in Games Awards once again this year,” said Isaaman.

“Celebrating the accomplishments of women across the UK games industry is vital – not only to recognise their achievements, but to amplify their visibility and inspire future generations. These awards play an important role in highlighting the exceptional talent and leadership of women across all areas of the games industry.”

Women in Games is also currently running a donations campaign to ensure that its work can continue. We know that times are tough and the cost of living is high, but if you’re able to support them, you can do that over on PayPal and they would very much appreciate it.
