[From the industry] AMC Studio has expanded into co-development services and opened a new division

One of Romania’s leading players in the video game development industry, AMC Studio, a Keywords Studio that specializes in 3D Art Services, is marking its nearly 30 years of activity by expanding its operations into Full Co-Development Services (“Co-Dev”).

The opening of the new division in the studio comes after a period of significant growth, with the company surpassing €5M in revenues in 2024, a growth of more than 70% compared to 2023.

The new service line is expected to generate new jobs for the industry in 2025, particularly in the areas of software engineering, game design, UI & UX and QA.

The recruitment process has already started with the company securing top talent to spearhead its new division. Eugen Sfirlos joined the studio on October 1st 2024 as the Production Director for the division. He brings significant expertise in producing high quality games in a variety of roles, starting off from QA, transitioning through Game Design and ending up in Production.

Before joining the AMC team, Eugen worked for AMC’s sister studio in Canada, Snowed In, also part of Keywords Studios. The two studios plan to work together and leverage each other’s strengths to develop and grow the Bucharest team. Snowed In is one of the most successful Co-Development studios in Canada, having worked on incredible titles such as Forza Horizon, Starfield and Diablo IV.

The new Co-Dev division was formed at the initiative of AMC’s Studio Head, Vlad Alexandru, who assumed management of the studio in March 2023.

It’s under his leadership that AMC has experienced the recent growth, and he plans to take the growth further.

The new division will begin operations in the first quarter of 2025.
