Issue #1001 of MCV/DEVELOP is online now! Inside: Dynasty Warriors, Crescent County, NC America and more!

The February-March 2025 issue of MCV/DEVELOP can now be read online for free.

If you get a physical copy, that should be on its way to you in the post, too. You’ll also be able to pick a copy up at GDC in a couple of weeks, where they should be on offer for free to any visitors that even vaguely breathe on them.

This very special 1001st issue is my first back in editorial, and is also my first issue as the magazine’s editor. I’ve frankly wasted no time, and have prepared a variety of interviews for you with games industry people from not just around the country but around the world, including Omega Force’s head Tomohiko Sho, Electric Saint indie developer Anna Hollinrake, NC America’s CEO Jeonghee “JJ” Jin, and more.

Issue #1001 also sees the exciting debut of MJ Widomska, Anita Wong, and Marie-Claire Isaaman as regular columnists. Combine that with the much-appreciated regular contributions from people like Liz Prince and Steve Bromley, and a selection of op-eds from industry figures around the biz that I felt had valuable and/or interesting things to say, and you have an Issue #1001 that feels (at least to me) like it’s had the biggest team behind it in ages.

I hope you enjoy reading it. I will probably see some of you in San Francisco for GDC, so you can let me know how much you liked it in person then. If you don’t enjoy it, then please send all complaints to richie@teamdebug.com.

(… and if you don’t get a free print copy, but do want one … then you should subscribe!)
